Hallertau Mittelfrüh Hops
German Hallertau Mittelfrüh Hops
A flagship of the Hallertau growing region, Hallertau Mittelfrüh delivers the classic noble aroma beloved in traditional German styles, including notes of sage, lavender, rosemary, and pine. Humulene is the dominant oil, comprising roughly 45–55% of total oils. With mild bittering potential (3-5.5% alpha acids), it offers a clean, crisp flavor ideal for lagers and pilsners. Hallertau Mittelfrüh remains in high demand among German growers due to its virus-free rootstock and strong disease resistance. Its rugged agronomics made it a cornerstone of hop breeding, with descendants including Citra®, Liberty, Mt. Hood, and Crystal. The reigning Kaiser of German hops.
Tariffs are now applied to all European hops imported into the U.S. for 2025 crop only. You will see a separate line item in your cart and at checkout reflecting the 12.5% tariff. If you have any questions, please reach out.
