Strata Hop Profile
Strata® is Indie Hops' first variety to be released in collaboration with the Oregon State University Hop Breeding Program, bred from an open-pollinated Perle plant discovered in an experimental field in Corvallis. Between its strong disease resistance, vigorous growing habit and complex layers of aroma, this top 10 hop was destined to impress. Best suited for IPAs and pale ales, Strata adds flavors of strawberry, passionfruit and melon, backed by undertones of spice, fresh sage and cannabis. Dry-hopping amplifies its tropical and dank character, and it performs well both as a single hop and in blends with varieties like Mosaic® and Columbus. For those who like their hops loud and expressive, Strata adds a little hypnotic magic to hop-forward beers.
