Saphir Hops
Saphir Hops
German Saphir Hop Profile
Released in 2002 by the Hüll Hop Research Center, Saphir is a low-alpha (2-4.5%), noble-like variety with an edge of spice and fruit. More pronounced than its fellow German varieties, Saphir has a complex blend of juniper, lemongrass, bergamot, strawberry and black tea. These characteristics shine in dry-hopping traditional
German lagers, pilsners, Kölsch, hefeweizens, and Belgian-style ales.
Tariffs are now applied to all European hops imported into the U.S. for the 2025 crop only. You will see a separate line item in your cart and at checkout reflecting the 12.5% tariff. If you have any questions, please reach out.
