Lórien Hops
Lorien Hops
Lórien® Hop Profile
Lórien® is a new variety from Indie Hops, released in 2021. A cross between Sterling and a German male, Lórien was bred to challenge lager hop norms, leaning less on traditional noble flavor and more on fruity, floral character. Channeling “a feeling of a summer meadow,” Lórien delivers citrus zest, fresh melon, sweet hay and wildflower aroma. This low alpha variety is designed to complement rather than overpower, making it a natural fit for a wide range of malt and hop bills — especially in lagers, pilsners, low-ABV ales and other crushable beers. A New World meadow in every pour.

Lórien Description from Indie Hops:
"Magical, exhilarating, and festive—Lórien is our third commercial hop launch. The second—Strata—was destined for a lead role in IPAs and DIPAs. Lórien is destined for lead roles as well, but at the opposite end of the hop and beer spectrum. Tangy fresh fruit and the feeling of a summer meadow near a cold mountain stream, Lórien is conducive to celebration and appetite. Low alpha and squeaky clean, leave the taps open and let ‘er flow!"
