German Herkules Hop Profile
Released in 2005 by the Hüll Hop Research Center, Herkules is a German high alpha (12-17%) variety prized for its powerful bittering potential. True to its name, Herkules is high-yielding and robust, often yielding between 2,200-2,500 pounds per acre. Although primarily used for bittering, Herkules also offers up a complex aromatic profile of orange, lemongrass, melon and mint. A world-renowned bittering hop foundational for countless beer styles.
