Vera is the latest public hop variety to be released by the USDA ARS in partnership with the Hop Research Council. This variety stood out from the crowd in the annual HOPSOURCE sensory evaluation held here at Yakima Valley Hops during the heart of hop selection.
Vera is fruit-forward with tropical, stone fruit, and citrus that is distinctively candy-like. Not only is Vera outstanding both on the selection table and in the final beer, but it is agronomically sustainable and well-suited for future disease and pest pressures.
