U.K. Golding is genetically similar to East Kent Golding, but it is just grown outside of the East Kent growing region. Offering comparable noble character — with slight variations depending on the exact farm — U.K. Golding has floral, spice, woody and subtle citrus characteristics that EKG is celebrated for, making it a suitable replacement.
