Spalter Hops
German Spalter Hops
Spalter is a landrace variety cultivated exclusively in Southern Germany’s Spalt region. An aroma variety similar to Tettnang, Spalter belongs to the Saaz group and displays fine noble characteristics. It offers a complex bouquet, with prominent spice and woody notes up front, rounded out by subtle hints of ripe banana and tonka bean. Later additions bring out floral and black tea notes. A traditional noble hop with room for creativity.
Tariffs are now applied to all European hops imported into the U.S. for 2025 crop only. You will see a separate line item in your cart and at checkout reflecting the 12.5% tariff. If you have any questions, please reach out.
