New Zealand Southern Cross Hop Profile
Southern Cross™ is a dual-purpose, smooth bittering New Zealand variety. Released in 1994, Southern Cross™ originates from a triploid cross using NZ Smoothcone, North American "Cali" and an English Fuggle. Low cohumulone lend soft, consistent bittering, while its high alpha acids and zesty, citrus-forward character set it apart. Most commonly used in pale ales, IPAs, and lagers, Southern Cross™ brings brightness and balance to any brew.
