Progress Hops
United Kingdom Progress Hop Profile
Progress hops were developed at Wye College as a disease-resistant replacement for Fuggle, offering similar aroma and brewing characteristics with improved resistance to wilt. Closely mirroring its predecessor, Progress offers a similar yet sweeter profile that's a bit more aromatic. Light grassy, herbal, and spicy notes, complemented by a subtle currant and honey that lend a bit of sweetness to the finished beer. Versatile and reliable, Progress works well in any beer style that calls for Fuggle — an easy substitute to refresh classic recipes.
