Northern Brewer Hops
Northern Brewer Hops
German Northern Brewer Hop Profile
Bred in England in 1934, Northern Brewer hops were developed specifically for Scottish & Newcastle Breweries and originally grown in the North of England — hence its name. Now found in the U.K. and U.S., but primarily grown in the German Hallertau region, Northern Brewer is a dual-purpose hop that has developed strong aroma qualities through adaptation to local climate and soil. Northern Brewer delivers clean, classic bittering with a cool edge and nearly a century of brewing tradition.
Pedigree: Cross between a female American wild hop and an English father
Aroma: Pine, mint, tobacco, lemon balm
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the increasing climate change pressures in the growing region, 2022 crop year German hops might fall below traditional analytical ranges.
