Released in 2021, McKenzie™ is first variety from the West Coast Hop Breeding Company in the Willamette Valley. McKenzie was specifically bred for Oregon's climate and agronomy, with an emphasis on expressing the local terroir. McKenzie shines bright with grapefruit, lemon, nectarine, and melon aromas that is backed by resinous pine, wood and thyme. Often compared to Centennial, McKenzie fits nicely in balanced West Coast IPAs or American pale ales, but also complements other hops in fruit-forward hazies. A modern Oregon hop with classic West Coast soul.
