HBC 638 Hop Pellet Profile
HBC 638 is an experimental hop variety from the Hop Breeding Company, which is a joint venture between John I. Haas and Yakima Chief Ranches.
HBC 638 is a new experimental hop variety that has many brewers excited for a wide range of reasons. Some brewers have drawn comparisons between HBC 638 and Centennial, citing the familiar aromas of bright citrus and fresh flowers, while other brewers are blown away by the tropical fruits and stone fruit that HBC 638 exhibits. Mango, pineapple, banana, cherry, strawberry, and cantaloupe are just some of the cornucopia of refreshing flavors and aromas brewers use to describe HBC 638.
Because HBC 638 is such a new experimental variety, be sure to let us know what you brew with it and what your impressions are.
