Released by CLS Farms in 2010, El Dorado® bursts with juicy pineapple and tropical notes. El Dorado® is a true, dual-purpose hop lending high alpha (13-17%) and intense flavor when used in later additions. Often described as sweet and hard candy-like, El Dorado® shines with bright flavors and aromas of pineapple, pear, watermelon and stonefruit. This exceptionally popular profile works well with other hops like Citra®, Azacca®, Mosaic® and Cashmere. Sweet, saturated, and unmistakably expressive.

"I used this with El Dorado to make a NEIPA and it was great. Used it to dry hop a pale ale but the best thing was dry hopping a cream ale with this to make a summer ale. Gave it a great fruity-floral aroma."
EXAMPLES OF BEERS BREWED WITH EL DORADO HOPS
Brewers at pFriem use El Dorado, Citra, Perle, Blanc, and Hallertau together to achieve a creamy winter beer.
Brewers at Elysian use, El Dorado, Mosaic, Southern Passion, Sabro, Citra, and Sultana together to achieve a low bitterness yet a strong pineapple aroma hazy.
EL DORADO® HOP SUBSTITUTIONS
El Dorado is a perfect dual purpose hop that carries wonderful pineapple aroma and flavor. Some brewers also note a hint of mango. Often used in IPAs, pale ales, and wheat beers. Hüll Melon and Ekuanot contain a lot of the same flavor profiles, making them the perfect substitutions for El Dorado.
