Australian Enigma Hop Profile

Enigma® is unique dual-purpose variety from Hop Products Australia breeding program, known for its with rare, expressive flavor. A cross between Swiss Tettnang and a North American variety, Enigma® displays juicy red fruit like raspberries and redcurrants with ripe rockmelon (cantaloupe). But what also sets Enigma® apart from other Australian varieties are crisp, white grape notes similar to Pinot Gris, a resemblance that echos the neighboring Nelson Sauvin. A uncommon profile fitting for flavorful, adventurous styles like sours, summer ales and IPAs.

"Crisp flavours of white grape, tart redcurrant and sweet rockmelon, with a complexity where different aspects shine depending on dose rate and addition time. Late additions or dry hopping really maximize the flavour and aroma outcomes."

Enigma SMASH IPA - Wizards O. 5/08/20

"I decided to make a single malt and single hop (SMASH) beer with just Great Western two row and Enigma. That way I can really taste the hops and learn its flavor so I can incorporate it in other beers. Wow! Lots of red fruit and citrus flavor and bitterness. I will definitely incorporate it into my tropical IPAs this summer."
