Black Malt - Crisp
Black Malt is made from 2-row barley. It has a dry, roasted flavor, which is extremely versatile. It adds dark brown to black color to worts but has almost no effect on the foam color of finished beers. When used in small amounts, it will add a dark color to nearly any beer styles, without changing the flavor. This malt is great in darker beers, such as porters and stouts.
